5 events you don’t want to miss this Christmas in Beijing!

Christmas is just around the corner and as an expat in Beijing you can be sure to find a wide range of Christmas events during December. In this post we recommend five great happenings that you don't want to miss! 




The British School of Beijing (Shunyi) is hosting a Christmas Fayre and German Market this weekend! Traditional wooden huts will be situated outside the main entrance so please come wearing warm coat clothes to enjoy a selection of hot food including wurst, pretzels, waffles, hot chocolate and gluhwein etc. There will be performances from the school choirs and the lighting of the tree will add to the festive feel. Vendors will be selling homemade Christmas decorations and items that would make ideal Christmas gifts for all ages. Children can try out a variety of games and activities run by our staff and students. Younger children can meet Santa as well for a truly magical experience!

The Hutong continues its tradition of hosting the best and liveliest Holiday Bazaar of the year! To celebrate the holiday season, the theme is "warm-winter" and hot cups of their own mulled wine will be served. During the fayre, you can buy everything from homemade jams, teas, baked goods and chocolates to homemade handicrafts. Read more here

Find your Christmas spirit by visiting the Rain and Sunshine Farm for a Christmas market. In addition to over 40 vendors selling gifts and food, the market can promise you gifts from santa, a magic show and live music. Shuttle buses will run from Guomao to the venue.

The Brickyard Retreat Centre is about to host their annual Christmas Eve Dinner with live jazz!
